Claude Raucy was born in 1939 in Vieux–Virton (Belgian part of Lorraine). During his difficult childhood in the years of war‚ he got the chance to be around great teachers who opened his eyes to the world of books. His passion for teaching and for writing makes him manage his life in a way to find time for both activities. However‚ after a while he decided to fully dedicate himself to writing. He passed from short stories to novels and from songs to poems. He was passionate of the theater as well‚ which lead him to write several plays. His love for Italy drove him to situate many of his heroes in that country.
