Taboo

Loïc is dead. He committed suicide because he refused to admit his own homosexuality. His class is shocked. No one thought this would happen. There are three big parts in the novel. Each reveals the state of mind of one of Loïc’s close friends: Elsa‚ Philippe‚ and Reginald. Three colliding points of view: complete rejection‚ questioning‚ and openness and acceptance of homosexuality. This novel speaks with nuance and realism about this social taboo. Age: 13 and up
