Nathalie Polfliet was born in Bruxelles in 1974. She studied illustration at Saint–Luc Institute in Bruxelles‚ and started her career as a teacher. She also worked for a while as a designer for the stylist creator Sarah Pacini and made handicraft for children. In 2007 she’s selected to draw the advertisement for "La fureur de lire"‚ an annual event to promote books in the Belgian schools. Her art catches the eye of Mijade’s art director and Nathalie starts to illustrate her first children’s book : "An ogre in our house".
