Marjolein Pottie was born on 1st July 1970 in Roulers (Belgium). She studied illustration at the Saint Luc Institute in Gand (Belgium) from 1988 till 1992. She works fulltime as an illustrator for several Belgian publishers (De Eenhoorn‚ Mijade‚ Lannoo‚ Davidsfonds‚ Manteau…) as well as foreign publishers (English‚ Dutch...). Her books have been translated in more than 10 languages. She lives in Brussels and has two daughters.
