Laurence Henno was born in Ixelles (Belgium) on 2 nd of February 1971. Since she was very young‚ she liked drawing. She started studying the art at the Watermael–Boitfort Academy from 7 years old.
In 1987‚ Laurence enrolled at the Institute of Fine Art of St. Luke where she kept studying graphic art. In 1992‚ she got the «Figures of Futur» Award at Montreuil children’s bookfair (France) and in 1993‚ she illustrated her first children’s book at Mijade Publications : «A friend for Tiger».The rights of it were sold in the United States and in The Netherlands. At present‚ Laurence lives in Bruxelles with her both daughters and her husband. She shares her time with children’s books and oil painting‚ as she makes some exhibitions of her work a year.
