France Bastia was born in Brussels (Belgium) in 1936. She started writing early in her life in journalism and in literature. In the seventies‚ she published several novels‚ among which her famous "Cri du hibou". This book has been reprinted several times‚ and was translated to various languages. It has sold 300 000 copies so far. Bastia‚ married to the grammarian André Goosse‚ dedicates her life to literature. She is the director of the "Revue générale" and the "Belgian Association of french language writers".
